[Report] The MSI hosted, IT world’s annual MOA (Master Overclocking Arena) opened in Beijing, China on August 29, 2009 with burning enthusiasm! After an entire day of fierce competition, the Swedish overcame the world's competitors (wPrime 1024M: 139.791 secs; 3DMark Vantage: 18745 pts) to win the honor of being the MOA 2009 champions!
MSI MOA2009 competition began in May of this year, and after 3 months of competitions and selections spanning 64 countries, 20 teams representing the best overclocking talent were chosen to compete in Beijing, the Olympic capital, for the Olympics of overclocking. The 20 teams at MOA 2009 represented 17 different countries, including Australia, Brazil, China, Chinese Taipei, Columbia, Slovakia, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Indonesia, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Korea, Sweden, United States, and the Futuremark Lords of Overclocking Team. The event was planned as the biggest, most global overclocking event ever planned. At the end of the competition, the team from Sweden captured the crown, while the Poland team and Taiwan's Futuremark Lords of Overclocking came in second and third place, respectively. For the competition, the participants used the MSI Eclipse SLI platform and MSI N275 GTX Lightning graphics card, showing the true overclocking potential of these components. Additionally, of the 20 teams participating, 8 teams were able to break the 3DMark Vantage world record - performance they could all be proud of!
