MSI MOA 2011 “Military Operations” at NTU Sports Center Team Lab 501 from Romania defeated all opposition with heavy shellfire to conquer the final!

(Taipei, Taiwan) After nine months of qualification in America, Europe and Asia, internationally renowned mainboard and graphics card manufacturer MSI, Futuremark LOC and HWBOT together selected 16 teams of elite overclockers from different parts of the world to participate in Operation Taipei on October 7 at the NTU Sports Center. Operation Taipei is the final round of the Master Overclocking Arena (MOA) 2011 held in Taiwan. After three benchmarks lasting for more than 7.5 hours, team Lab 501 from Romania representing the European Qualification as a first-time contestant took top honors with an excellent result:147.169% increase in performance. Besides winning the most powerful OC weaponry valued over US$5,000 from MOA, the champion also receives a cash prize of US$3,000 and the title “Master of Overclocking”. Team HWBOX.gr from Greece took the first runner-up, and two-time MOA champion team Expandables from Sweden came in third this time.

MSI MOA 2011 Grand Final Takes Place at NTU Stadium, Taiwan 16 Teams from 14 Countries to Fight for the Title in Fierce Battles

[Taipei, Taiwan]  The grand final of the Master Overclocking Arena (MOA) 2011, the largest one of its kind in the world, is set to kick off at the Comprehensive Stadium of Taiwan University on Friday, October 7. The MOA 2011 is the fourth edition of events organized by MSI, the leading global mainboard and graphics card manufacturer. Sixteen teams of overclocking soldiers from the U.S., Romania, Sweden, Japan, Australia and many other countries are gearing up to fight for the ultimate title. In keeping with the theme of Military Operations at MOA, a vast range of thrilling events will be staged onsite, including the arrival of sexy female general Amber Ann and three female soldiers on the overclocking battlefront to boost morale, and the audacious invasion of the MSI battle camp by eight teams of master computer assemblers from higher-education institutions; where their computer knowledge will be put to the ultimate test. Also, MSI will offer a limited 10 sets of heavy-duty gears for the MOA battlefront. Purchasers will also get a CD autographed by Amber Ann!

The Last Seat for MSI MOA 2011 Grand Final is Now Confirmed!Team Montenegro stands out from the HWBOT Qualifier

The final entries for the MSI Master Overclocking Arena (MOA) 2011 Team HWBOT Qualifiers competition has finished on August 20th. The event took 4 weeks long with the last chance to attend the MSI MOA 2011 Grand Final; three challenges were faced, including Super PI 32M, wPrime 1024M, and 3DMark11 P-Score.  The MOA 2011 Team HWBOT Qualifier gathers extreme overclockers from across the world, but Perica Barii from Montenegro stood out from the competition and is going to face 15 global championship teams at the MSI MOA 2011 Grand Final!

This marks the fourth year that MSI, a world-leading mainboard and graphics card manufacturer, is organizing the MOA competition. After the American qualifiers in January, the European qualifiers in April, the Asia-Pacific qualifiers in July, and Futuremark’s LOC 2011 competition, the last qualification competition on HWBOT is now makes the whole name list complete.
